No, recipients do not need to sign up for a Checkbook account to receive their funds.
When a digital payment is sent, our system automatically generates a secure link and sends it to the recipient’s email. This link allows them to choose how they would like to receive their payment based on the options provided by the sender—no login required.
For first-time recipients, they will need to select their preferred deposit method. If they choose “Deposit Payment Online,” they will be asked to verify their bank account details. Once set up, future digital payments will be automatically deposited into that account unless they choose to cancel auto-deposit.
Additionally, recipients are never charged any fees for depositing their digital payments.
